£400 Energy Support Grant -Update

The government announced in July that all homes would receive the grant. Energy companies will arrange payments in 4 instalments from October 2022.

Homes that are not connected directly to the national grid and whose electricity is provided by a third party will not receive payment from the energy company.

This affects Park Homes – people who live on boats etc. The government has now agreed that these people will be included and receive the £400 grant.

Owners on CMOA sites will be included, but so far there has been no government announcement as to how this is going to be paid. Indications are that the local authority will be charged with distributing the grants.

CMOA are tracking the system and will update members as soon as new information is available.
