Site report Kenegie Manor March 2017

The park closed at the end of October and reopened again mid February.

This winter has seen the pool area repainted and the ladies changing rooms have been upgraded with new sink, shower, matting for the floors and all newly decorated. Unfortunately there is still a problem with excess water in there, and I think that management may be thinking in terms of installing dehumidifiers in there if they cannot resolve the problem. The men’s changing rooms have just been decorated. The old sauna room has been totally transformed and a brand new sauna installed. A new Jacuzzi has also been purchased and is in place just waiting for the necessary plumbing. New tables and chairs have been bought and are in place around the pool area. There has also been table tennis installed next to the coffee shop in the pool area.

I understand that pressure washing is due to begin soon to include the main entrance and patio areas around the park. A road sweeper came in February and swept all around the park. Some outside painting will take place when the weather improves.

Work on the new small shop is due to begin shortly providing essentials, milk, newspapers etc. This will be sited where the large cupboard/storeroom is in the WiFi lounge.

Grass cutting has begun although due to bad weather has not yet been completed. The grass in some areas of the park was very long when the park first opened, but thankfully about 60 – 70% is now looking nice.

Hopefully Hazel and myself will now begin monthly meetings with Ed, so if anyone has anything they wish us to ask/say, please contact me on 07835986513 or joypolglase@yahoo.co.uk.
